# Anna Shipulina

> Los Angeles ceramic studio creating sculptural hand-built ceramic vessels, vases, floor pieces, and wall installations. Organic, contemporary forms in natural clay tones, made one of a kind for private collectors, interior designers, and hospitality clients.

## About

Anna Shipulina is a Los Angeles-based ceramic artist creating one-of-a-kind sculptural ceramic art using traditional hand-building techniques, primarily coiling. Each piece is made entirely from scratch in the studio — no molds, no wheel. The work sits at the intersection of sculpture and object, made to be experienced as fine art rather than functional pottery.

## The work

Sculptural ceramic vessels, vases, floor pieces, and wall installations — built entirely by hand in the studio, with no molds and no wheel. Each piece is one of a kind.

Forms tend toward the fluid, organic, and quietly contemporary, with movement carried in the silhouette rather than in surface decoration. Most surfaces are kept in their natural clay tones — warm, muted, earthy — and sit easily alongside wood, stone, plaster, and linen. A range of finishes is available: natural, matte, textured, and high-gloss.

The aesthetic is contemporary, minimal, and material-driven. Refined and quiet rather than ornate. Influenced by fine art and design rather than craft tradition. Designed to live in considered interiors as art objects, not as functional pottery.

Categories of work include:

- Sculptural vessels and vases (small to large scale)

- Floor pieces (singular works and groupings)

- Wall sculptures and installations

- Coordinated multi-piece commissions for hospitality and design projects
