There is a fracture running across the top of this vessel, and I chose to follow it in gold rather than hide it. The form is low and rounded, closer to a river stone than a vase — something the hand wants to rest on. I built it slowly, letting the walls find their own fullness, and finished the surface in a deep matte black that holds shadow and light differently as you move around it. The single opening at the center draws the eye inward; the gold seam pulls it back out. It is a study in weight and balance, made to sit on a low table, a plinth, or a shelf where it can be lived with over time.
A one-of-a-kind sculptural piece, formed entirely by hand in my Los Angeles studio.

Horse hair raku vases.
I built these vases by hand using a coiling method. Once dry, the vases were bisque fired to make it strong enough to handle open fire of the raku.
Next, they were fast fired in the raku kiln. The horse hair is applied when the pots were removed from the kiln and were glowing hot. The hair burns on the surface leaving carbon markings behind. Every piece comes out differently making it very special and unique.
Raku pottery is not suitable for liquids. Can be used with dry flowers and foliage.
Three vases are available: large, medium and small.
Dimensions are approximate as the form is organically shaped.
Large $600. Heights 6” / width on the top 8”
Medium $500. Heights 5” / width on the top 8”
Small $230. Heights 5” / width on the top 3”

PACKAGING.
Packing ceramics requires a lot of wrapping to prevent breakage. I use brand new paper and twine to wrap my pottery. It looks pretty. For the boxes and protection materials, I try to reuse what I already have in order to reduce waste.
If you prefer a brand new box and protection materials please let me know, I would gladly do it for you at no extra cost. Otherwise, I will use my regular reused packaging.

Add a distinct touch to your space with this artisanal masterpiece, blending tradition and innovation. Experience the transformative power of handcrafted beauty.
I built this vase round, almost like a full moon, with a single small opening at the top. It's raku fired, which means I pull it from the kiln while it's still glowing and let the smoke do the rest. You can see where the flame caught it - the black, the bits of copper and rust coming through the clay. I don't get to decide exactly how that lands, and I like that about it.
It's hand built, no mold, no wheel. This shape only exists once.
It's meant to sit somewhere you'll see it every day - a shelf, a table, wherever the light shifts across it.
One of a kind. It's decorative, not watertight.
*A fine fissure near the opening emerged as the piece took shape during hand-building — not from damage, but from the clay's own movement as it was formed. I chose to keep it. It marks a moment in the making and gives the vessel a sense of history, a trace of the hand and the process behind it. To me it belongs to the piece as much as its silhouette does. Please refer to the last photo for a detailed view.

This ceramic vase is shaped by hand, allowing the form to develop with a sense of irregularity and movement. Its surface carries natural variations — subtle marks, textures, and tonal shifts that give the piece a raw, almost stone-like presence.

Each piece is made by hand in my Los Angeles studio. Variations in form and surface are inherent to the process and make every piece unique.
A large-scale sculptural vessel in richly textured clay, built entirely by hand. The form swells into a full, rounded body and tapers to a small, deliberate foot — a balance of weight and lift that gives the piece its presence. Its silhouette is subtly asymmetrical, a trace of the hand working the clay rather than a machine repeating a shape.
The surface is coarse and mineral, left unglazed to hold the warm, rust-toned color of the raw clay. Light moves differently across it through the day, catching the grain and shifting from deep umber in shadow to warm ochre in sun.
At the opening, lengths of copper wire rise and curve outward like a gesture caught mid-air — an unexpected, drawing-like line against the grounded mass of the form. The contrast of soft metal and dense earthen body is what makes this a statement piece: sculptural, architectural, and made to anchor a room.
A one-of-a-kind work, hand-built from scratch with no mold and no two alike. At home in a considered interior, an entryway, a gallery wall of objects, or as a singular floor piece.
Stability note: Because of its scale and rounded base, we recommend securing this piece with museum gel (also known as gallery gel or museum putty) when displayed — a clear, removable adhesive that anchors the vessel safely without marking the surface or the clay.

Each piece is made by hand in my Los Angeles studio. Due to the nature of the raku process, variations in color, surface, and form are expected—and are part of what makes each piece unique.
A sculptural ceramic vase with an unmistakable silhouette — a full, rounded body that rises from a narrow base, topped with an asymmetric offset opening that gives the piece its organic, body-like character. Part of an ongoing series exploring form as presence rather than function.
Made from red stoneware clay, coil-built entirely by hand and fired at high temperature. The exterior is left completely unglazed, letting the raw clay surface speak for itself — deeply textured, tactile, and rich with warm brown tones that shift subtly in different light conditions.
A statement object for a living room shelf, entry console, dining sideboard, or architectural niche. Works beautifully with dried botanicals, pampas grass, or tall dried branches — or as a standalone sculptural piece with nothing in it at all.
Suited to organic modern, wabi-sabi, and minimalist interiors. A strong choice for interior designers sourcing one-of-a-kind ceramic objects for residential or hospitality projects.
Made in limited quantities in Los Angeles. Each piece varies slightly in surface texture and tone — no two are identical.

Finished in a muted, natural palette, the piece emphasizes texture and material — raw, tactile, and quietly expressive. It can function as a vessel for flowers (requires a flower frog) or exist on its own as a sculptural centerpiece.
Designed to sit low within a space, it works especially well on a coffee table, console, or dining surface, where its horizontal form can anchor the composition.

A hand-built ceramic vase shaped slowly through an intuitive, tactile process. Each form is created without molds or templates, allowing the clay to guide the final silhouette as it develops layer by layer.
The surface remains raw and textured, emphasizing the natural qualities of the material. Subtle variations, small irregularities, and visible marks of the hand give the piece a quiet sense of movement and depth, changing gently as light moves across it. This approach reflects a focus on material presence and imperfection, central to the character of each vessel.
The vase integrates easily into minimal and organic interiors while still holding a strong sculptural presence. It can function as a vessel for dried flowers or stand independently as an object — something that anchors a space without demanding attention.
Each piece is one of a kind, made entirely by hand in my Los Angeles studio. No molds are used, and no two forms can be replicated.

A large, sculptural ceramic vase with an integrated wire element, this piece explores the tension between organic form and structured intervention. Built entirely by hand using the coil technique from red stoneware clay, the form develops gradually, each layer shaping the final silhouette in a slow, intuitive process.
The surface remains unglazed, emphasizing the raw, tactile quality of the material. Deep texture, subtle irregularities, and visible marks of the hand create a sense of movement across the surface.
The addition of wire introduces a contrasting material language — rigid, linear, and deliberate — interacting with the softness and unpredictability of clay. Rather than functioning as decoration, it becomes part of the structure, extending the form beyond its ceramic boundary.
This piece exists somewhere between vessel and sculpture. While it can hold dry foliage, its presence is not dependent on function. It is designed to stand on its own as an object — quiet, grounded, and materially expressive.

Made in my Los Angeles studio, each vase reflects a slow, hand-built process where no two pieces are ever the same. Subtle imperfections and asymmetry are embraced as part of the work.

A compact sculptural vase with the quiet weight of a found stone — low, wide-based, and subtly asymmetric, with a silhouette that feels both elemental and considered. The form sits solidly in a space without demanding attention; it simply belongs there.
Built from textured stoneware clay in a soft off-white tone that reads as warm or cool depending on the light. The exterior is left unglazed, with a coarse, sandy surface that is genuinely tactile. The interior is glazed, making it suitable for both fresh and dried stems.
At 8 inches tall, this is a versatile piece — strong enough to anchor a shelf or side table on its own, and easy to pair with taller objects in a vignette. Works particularly well with dried botanicals, pampas, or a single sculptural branch. An accessible entry point into the collection for collectors and a practical choice for designers layering objects across a room.
Suited to organic modern, Japandi, and minimalist interiors. Available in limited quantities — each piece varies slightly in surface texture and tone.

A monumental sculptural object from the Intuitive Built collection. This piece took shape without a predetermined form — built by hand, guided entirely by the clay's own response to pressure and weight. The result is a sculpture with a presence that reads differently at every angle: voluminous from one side, fragmented and architectural from another.
The surface is unglazed, left in its raw stoneware state to preserve the quiet variation of the natural clay — soft whites, faint warm tones, and subtle texture throughout.

A mixed-media ceramic wall sculpture created in collaboration with fiber artist Trudy Perry. The piece brings together stoneware clay and natural wool, combining two materials that hold very different qualities — one structured and grounded, the other soft and ephemeral.
The ceramic base is shaped slowly through an intuitive process that allows the form to develop organically. Its surface remains raw and matte, emphasizing the natural character of the clay and the quiet irregularities that come from working by hand.
Wool is layered and formed directly onto the ceramic, introducing softness, volume, and a sense of warmth. It softens the structure, shifting the piece away from something purely architectural into something more intimate and tactile.
Rather than functioning as decoration, the materials interact — the clay holds, the wool expands. Together, they create a composition that feels both anchored and light, balancing weight and softness within a single form.
Each piece is one of a kind, made by hand in Los Angeles. No molds are used, and no two works can be replicated.

This one-of-a-kind stoneware ceramic wall sculpture is hand-built and shaped into a fluid, organic form that brings movement and depth to the wall. The unglazed surface highlights the natural texture of the clay, creating a soft, matte finish with subtle tonal variation.
With its sculptural silhouette and earthy materiality, this piece functions as textured wall art — adding warmth and dimension to organic modern, minimalist, and contemporary interiors.

This is a hand-built vase in white stoneware — a sculptural clay that fires to the sandy color with no glaze at all. Texture is the whole point of this piece. The clay already has a lot of grit and movement in it, and I built up even more across the top, so the surface breaks into rough, cratered patches that catch the light and shift as the sun moves through the room.
It's a large piece, meant to hold a room on its own — a statement vase for an entryway, a big table, a mantel, a pedestal in a gallery-like space. It reads well in a pared-back interior where the texture can do the talking, and it holds its own next to raw materials like wood, stone, and linen.
Hand built, no mold, no wheel. The shape is a little off-round and top-heavy on purpose — I like when a form looks like it's holding its balance.
One of a kind. Decorative, not watertight.
