Sculptural Ceramic Vase Raku
$450.00

A one-of-a-kind ceramic vase created using the ancient Japanese raku firing technique. The surface is deeply textured, with rich tones ranging from warm copper to deep charcoal and subtle metallic flashes formed during the firing process.

Built entirely by hand without a wheel, the form remains slightly irregular and sculptural.

Please note: this piece is decorative and not watertight.

Dimensions:
Height: 7 1/4"
Top diameter: 5 3/8"

DETAILS:
Hand-built stoneware
Raku fired (metallic and smoky effects)
Highly textured surface
Organic, sculptural form
Style: brutalist, organic modern, wabi-sabi, Japandi
Function: decorative vessel / sculptural object

Perfect for:
Interior designers sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces
Collectors of handmade ceramics

Each piece is made by hand in my Los Angeles studio. Due to the nature of the raku process, variations in color, surface, and form are expected—and are part of what makes each piece unique.

Sculptural Ceramic Centerpiece #1
$730.00

This sculptural ceramic piece is formed by hand, allowing the shape to unfold naturally into a soft, flowing silhouette. Its elongated, organic form creates a sense of movement across the surface, shifting subtly as the light changes.

Finished in a muted, natural palette, the piece emphasizes texture and material — raw, tactile, and quietly expressive. It can function as a vessel for flowers (requires a flower frog) or exist on its own as a sculptural centerpiece.

Designed to sit low within a space, it works especially well on a coffee table, console, or dining surface, where its horizontal form can anchor the composition.

Dimensions are approximate as the form is organically shaped:
Height: 4 3/8"
Length: 13 1/8"
Width: 4 3/8"

Each piece is one of a kind, shaped and finished by hand in my Los Angeles studio.

• Handmade ceramic
• One of a kind
• Sculptural, organic form
• Matte, natural finish

Often chosen by interior designers as a statement object within contemporary interiors.

Textured Ceramic Vase with Lava
$600.00

This ceramic vase is shaped by hand, allowing the form to develop with a sense of irregularity and movement. Its surface carries natural variations — subtle marks, textures, and tonal shifts that give the piece a raw, almost stone-like presence.

Please refer to the photos to see a clay separation on the bottom of the vase.

The form is intentionally uneven, leaning into imperfection and asymmetry. It reflects a wabi-sabi sensibility, where the beauty comes from what is unrefined and unrepeatable.

Dimensions are approximate as the form is organically shaped:
Height: 8"
Diameter on the bottom:4 1/2"

Each piece is one of a kind, made by hand in my Los Angeles studio.

• Handmade ceramic
• One of a kind
• Textured, organic surface
• Neutral, earthy tones

This piece works well as a quiet focal point on a console, shelf, or pedestal, where its texture and form can be experienced up close. It is often selected by interior designers looking for sculptural ceramic objects that bring warmth and material presence into contemporary spaces.

Ceramic artist Anna Shipulina handbuilding a stoneware vessel in her Los Angeles studio

Anna Shipulina

Born elsewhere. Living in Los Angeles. Moving between worlds — cultures, roles, identities. Artist, mother, observer. Always searching for balance between structure and intuition.

No molds. No replication. No production.

Only the moment when the material responds — or resists.

Working with stoneware, I build each form by hand, allowing it to emerge slowly. Imperfection is not corrected. It is kept.
