Horse hair raku vases.
I built these vases by hand using a coiling method. Once dry, the vases were bisque fired to make it strong enough to handle open fire of the raku.
Next, they were fast fired in the raku kiln. The horse hair is applied when the pots were removed from the kiln and were glowing hot. The hair burns on the surface leaving carbon markings behind. Every piece comes out differently making it very special and unique.
Raku pottery is not suitable for liquids. Can be used with dry flowers and foliage.
Three vases are available: large, medium and small.
Dimensions are approximate as the form is organically shaped.

Each one is thrown/hand-built, painted/glazed individually, that's why you will see natural variations in the color of the clay
