Mixed-Media Ceramic Wall Sculpture

$800.00

A mixed-media ceramic wall sculpture created in collaboration with fiber artist Trudy Perry. The piece brings together stoneware clay and natural wool, combining two materials that hold very different qualities — one structured and grounded, the other soft and ephemeral.

The ceramic base is shaped slowly through an intuitive process that allows the form to develop organically. Its surface remains raw and matte, emphasizing the natural character of the clay and the quiet irregularities that come from working by hand.

Wool is layered and formed directly onto the ceramic, introducing softness, volume, and a sense of warmth. It softens the structure, shifting the piece away from something purely architectural into something more intimate and tactile.

Rather than functioning as decoration, the materials interact — the clay holds, the wool expands. Together, they create a composition that feels both anchored and light, balancing weight and softness within a single form.

Each piece is one of a kind, made by hand in Los Angeles. No molds are used, and no two works can be replicated.
